An Urgent Plea

This postcard of Billingsgate Market (No 0241),which was posted to Miss Maud Denny, Great Chesterford, Essex, in 1907 has an urgent plea on the back:

“Dear Maud

Will you please send me a few Torpedo nibs? I hope you have had a nice Christmas. Thanks for card. Fan”

I imagine that Fan was concerned that without any new nibs she would be unable to write any more postcards.

The picture side of the postcard may be viewed from here.
