A Postcard to Reg’s Mum

Reg sent this card from Colchester on 26 May 1916 to his Mother, Mrs Bacon, who was staying with Mrs Mills at 83, Colne Road, Brightlingsea, Essex.  Reg writes:

My Dear Mum

I thought I should have been able to leave here tomorrow (Sat.) but find I shall have to stay on until Monday anyhow.

I do not think it is worth while coming over to see me as I hope to have a week’s holiday after this which I should like to spend with you at Brightlingsea or else at Thetford.

What do you think?

I am glad you have found suitable rooms & hope you will enjoy your holiday.

Yours etc

The picture on this postcard can be seen here.  I wonder if Reg is in the group.
