What About The Timetable?

I can’t help wondering whether there was a shortage of train timetables at various stages during the last century.  Several postcards in my collection bear messages asking the recipient to send the author either a timetable or pages from it.  This postcard sent on 15 October 1938 by Mummie in Weymouth, Dorset to Messrs I and D Scott, The Register Hotel, Edinburgh,  is no different.  Mummie writes:

Many thanks for the letter etc Ian.  Hope you are both well.  What about the timetable I asked you to send me.  You can just send the pages with the London trains but you will have to post them Thursday night.  Love to you and Don.

The picture on this Real Photograph postcard, which is of Upwey Church, can be seen here.
